Frequently asked questions
Q: What is Laney Palm Arts?
A: It's the magical land where glass becomes adorable, plants gain weird little friends, and jewelry gets just the right amount of sparkle. Founded by a human (probably), Laney Palm Arts is home to Shroomiez, handmade jewelry, and mysterious blobs of creativity.
Q: What are Shroomiez?
A: Shroomiez are tiny glass plant companions. They don’t talk, bite, or insult your gardening skills. Each one is handmade, annealed (science-y stuff to make them strong), and full of personality—with just eyes. No mouth. No nose. Just vibes. Think of them as the emotional support mushrooms your plants didn’t know they needed.
Q: Why don’t Shroomiez have mouths?
A: Because if they could talk, they'd spill all your plant’s secrets. And nobody needs that kind of drama. Also, mouths are hard to make and let’s face it—eye contact says plenty.
Q: Can I put Shroomiez outside?
A: Absolutely! They love gardens, potted plants, window boxes, or just standing around being mysterious. But like all glass, they prefer not to be launched from a catapult or run over by lawnmowers.
Q: Do you really make each one by hand?
A: Yep! Each piece is crafted by Laney, who wrestles molten glass like a wizard with a torch. No two are the same, kind of like snowflakes—but cuter and way less melty.
Q: What are they made of?
A: Fancy-pants soda lime glass, lovingly melted and shaped by Laney over an open flame like a tiny, non-threatening dragon. Each piece is kiln-annealed for strength and sass.
Q: Are any of them the same?
A: Never! Every Shroomie is a one-of-a-kind creation. Some are tall and mysterious. Some are short and suspicious. All are fabulous.
Q: Do you make other stuff too?
A: Handmade glass jewelry! Earrings, pendants, and more—perfect for adding sparkle to your ears, neck, or emergency gift stash. Every piece is full of that “I definitely didn’t get this from a big box store” charm that pairs great with brunch or chaotic energy.
Q: Do you take custom orders?
A: Yes! Want a Shroomie with a specific color scheme? A necklace that matches your aura? A gift for a plant-loving cryptid? Just reach out—Laney’s got you.
Q: How do I buy these delightful things?
A: Order through this website or follow Laney Palm Arts on Facebook or Instagram to be notified of an upcoming show, or message Laney directly with your hopes and dreams (or just your favorite color).
